The School of Communications and Marketing is seeking to recruit a Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Journalism degree. Candidates will have a proven track record of course leading at university and of teaching and learning of journalism at HE level.
To develop the course’s reputation for producing innovative journalists, the course leader will have existing experience of working in and teaching of all media platforms, while leading the journalism team in teaching our students the full range of journalistic skills. They will also develop strategies to improve the international reputation of the degree in terms of student recruitment and the international study opportunities.
The course leader will be expected to lead by example in terms of professional industry practice and engagement with research, with the successful applicant leading the development of the BA (Hons) Journalism degree and its relationship with accreditation boards.
