Birkbeck hosts news and democracy workshop in May
The event “How Good is News for Democracy?” will take place on 10th May during Arts Week at Birkbeck. It may be of interest to AJE members because it is both a presentation of current research and an interactive experience of part of this research, as audience members can participate in a focus group that is modelled on the one conducted for this research.
How good are our news media for democracy? When you read the news – does that serve democracy? Do journalists think about democracy when they write news stories?
