Study for a PhD at the University of Kent

The Centre for Journalism at the University of Kent is delighted to offer a doctoral scholarship, as part of the University’s 50th Anniversary Research Scholarships scheme. The scholarship will be offered at the standard UK Research Councils’ rate.

We are open to applications on all topics relating to journalism but we particularly seek proposals on political journalism, journalism history or environmental journalism. Applications will be considered on merit and the Centre’s ability to offer supervision.

Applicants are asked to initially submit a:

  • cover letter;
  • curriculum vitae (including contact details of two referees);
  • thesis proposal of 3-5,000 words (including references).

 

The deadline for applications is noon on Friday January 23, 2015.
