Professor Chris Frost gets lifetime achievement award at AJE summer conference

Outgoing AJE Chair Chris Frost was handed a lifetime achievement award at the association’s 2016 summer conference.

He has been a newspaper journalist, editor and journalism educator for more than 40 years and is Chair of the Association for Journalism Education, which represents HE journalism departments in the UK and Ireland.

He is co-editor of Journalism Education and an editorial board member of several other journals.

He is member of the National Executive Committee of the National Union of Journalists, a former NUJ president and chairs the union’s Ethics Council. He sits on the executive boards of the Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom and the Institute of Communications Ethics.

He has authored several books including Journalism Ethics and Regulation and Reporting for Journalists as well as many book chapters and papers and has been a consultant or visiting professor in much of Eastern Europe, India, South East Asia and Africa.
