“Our successful postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in Multimedia Journalism and Media & Communication have a focus on tuition in industry standard radio, television and online media, ensuring that our graduates are equipped for employment in journalism and other areas of the media.
“We seek a lecturer with industry experience of broadcast and online media who is able to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students to the standards required by our accrediting bodies, the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) and the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC).
“Candidates will be expected to be educated to Honours degree level and meet the following essential criteria:
Significant industry experience of broadcast and online journalism in the UK, ideally involving both reporting and producing
Experience of learning and teaching at university level
Experience of module leadership and associated administration
Experience of module and programme development
Working knowledge of broadcast production systems such as Burli, Avid and ENPS
Strong industry connections in support of student experience
