University of Chester seeking external advisors for new MA Journalism and Broadcast Journalism programmes

This is a chance to shape a course which will bridge the gap between the University of Chester’s existing undergraduate Journalism provision and its PhD provision.

The courses – MA Journalism and MA Broadcast Journalism – will be a blend of practical and theoretical learning.

Successful applicants will have expenses paid and will receive an honorarium.

University of Chester  programme leader for journalism Dr Rhian Waller, said: “Journalism is a fast-moving and complex field of study.

“We are living in an era where ethics are under the microscope, where notions of objectivity and truth are under scrutiny and where the pace of technological and social change is staggering.

“It is vital to offer postgraduates a real opportunity to make an impact in terms of both academic research and in the workplace.”

The deadline for submissions of interest is March 3. Please could any applicants submit their CV and a covering letter to r.waller@chester.ac.uk.

Applicants must be available to join the Steering panel on March 21 and may be asked to attend Validation on April 27 at Parkgate Road Campus in Chester.
