The AJE is partnering with the BBC 50:50 The Equality Project to run an event as part of their festival week to help members learn how to use the scheme to enhance their teaching practice.
Several member institutions have trialled embedding the corporation’s highly successful equality project into the practical elements of their courses.
During the roundtable at 4pm on Wednesday April 21 we will hear from four journalism departments about their experience using the 50:50 approach in their sessions.
Students and tutors from Falmouth University, University of Westminster, Nottingham Trent University and the University of the West Scotland will be telling us more about how they have been involved.
The event is a chance for member institutions who have not used BBC 50:50 in their teaching practice to learn how they can use it in the coming academic year.
The event is free but please sign-up here in advance.
